Meet Fatima
How AI-powered calls from trusted community leaders transformed one family's healthcare journey
"My husband quickly informed me, telling me that tomorrow I should go and receive our child'simmunization. The messages help a lot, especially for someone who does not understand what is going on."— Fatima, Mother of Four, Sokoto State
From Unaware to Advocate
Fatima, a mother of four in northwestern Nigeria, wasn't initially aware of the importance of childhood vaccinations. Living in Sokoto state — a region with one of the world's lowest immunization rates — she represents millions of parents facing similar challenges.
Today, after receiving AI-powered calls from her trusted religious leader (sarkin) in her native Hausa language, Fatima has become a vaccination advocate in her community, ensuring all her children receive their immunizations on time.

Evolution Story: From Proven Success to AI Innovation
Sokoto State: Foundation for Innovation
Our initial deployment in Sokoto State (2015-2024) used pre-recorded community leader messages and established the core methodology that now powers our AI-enhanced platform.
Original Implementation Results:
- 98% perfect appointment attendance (from 3% baseline)
- 65% Penta 3 coverage achieved (from 12.5% baseline)
- 98% immunization card retention (from 41.7%)
- 7-day average missed appointment recovery
Current AI-Enhanced Capabilities
Building on this proven foundation, our AI-powered platform now enables unlimited personalization, real-time optimization, and seamless scalability across diverse communities and languages.
The Turnkey Discovery
Initially, photos were given upon arrival at health facilities. However, while caregivers wanted the photos, prevailing community attitudes meant they didn't want their children vaccinated.
The breakthrough: We reordered the approach so children received immunizations first, then got their photo. These baby photos became treasured family keepsakes - often the only image parents had of their infant - and became the cornerstone of our success.
